The Veggie Vanjanaye Curry paste is made with the traditional unroasted curry powder mix ‘Thuna Paha’, in Sinhalese it means ‘Three by five’, denoting the ratio of spices used mainly for vegetable dishes. Dried spices are ground without roasting them, so the flavours are released in cooking to mildly season the vegetables, without overpowering them. Our Veggie Vanjanaye is like the homemade curry paste by grinding the dried spices together with fresh onions, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger and garlic to help you create your own Sri Lankan style vegetable dish with your favourite vegetables.
